Youth Representatives
Here is how we are covering your costs for the event:
- Travel to Toronto on May 8 and return journey on May 10 or 11 will be booked and paid for by the project. We will select the most economical option (regular carriers) on your preferred date with the option of one checked bag.
- Hotel in Toronto on May 8, 9 and 10 (if needed) will be booked and paid for by the project.
- Dinner on May 8 and all meals on May 9 will be provided. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on May 10.
- You will be provided with a travel stipend of $175 to cover your meals, as well as travel to and from the airport/train/bus station on May 8 and May 10 or 11.
- You will be paid an honorarium through the usual Youth Engagement Initiative system for your participation in the event.

- You can submit receipts to be reimbursed for one meal per travel day and one meal on May 10, as well as travel to and from the airport/train/bus station (e.g. car, taxi, ride-share, public transit) on May 8 and May 10 or 11.
- Mileage for driving to the event will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.57 per kilometre.
- Receipts for reimbursement can be submitted after the event.
- We can not reimburse for alcohol. Please ask for a separate receipt if you purchase alcohol.
